However, to most, it became known that this knowledge was vastly untrue. the rage one held in such a small frame was profound. it didn't take much to upset or offend the attendant, yet the wisdom one held was beyond her years.Meng Zhiyue is an enigma to the inhabitants of modern Liyue. She holds the prestige and mannerly frame, yet has a tendency to get easily set off by the smallest inconveniences. Not to say that she's rude or disrespectful, she just has a slight temper, as she puts it. Though a notable seer, she's fairly humble, often disregarding praise and compliments.Zhiyue is extremely perceptive and observant, often reading the room or people before she even speaks to them. She tends to judge immediately, though she's hardly wrong. While fairly hedonistic in her hobbies and occupation, Zhiyue holds the people of Liyue's interests at heart. Much of her work is dedicated on ensuring the protection and well-being of Liyue Harbor.

Thirty days later, the calamity that overturned the heavens and earth descended on the world: the lovers went on a self-imposed exile and attempted to flee, but the disaster caught up to them. As punishment, the two were separated for eternity and had their memories wiped. The heartbroken Seelie withered away, shedding parts of their former selves which then transformed into the Seelie's current wispy forms.❞The story of the seelie is regarded as a tragedy. Once under the true name of lyra, one had tried to marry a gentle soul. While yes, an outlander was named as her love, there was little concern that she had done something that would cause such catastrophe. Not long after she wed, the heavens were destroyed, exile becoming her known life. Lyra's name became forgotten, as did her origins. All memory of her life before was lost forever.Her body slowly began to decay after her banishment. In a last attempt to save her own life, the Seelie used the last remnants of her power to shed her form and turn it into a tree. The roots dug into the soil of teyvat and connected her soul to irminsul. Using the last bit of her power, the Seelie sprouted a new body from her roots. Once her new form had arisen, her tree withered away into nothing.

With a new form came a new life. Like a young child, the Seelie roamed the land aimlessly for near a millennia, residing mostly in the mountains that would become known as minlin within liyue's borders. As humans began populating over the land, the Seelie kept her distance, hidden within caves and trees of the surrounding nature.Time passed differently for her. Three thousand years was like the blinking of an eye for her. It wasn't till she met a particular god, that she would finally receive a name and a concept of how to live life.Guizhong, also known as the god of dust, was like an idol to the young Seelie. She became known as her shadow because she would constantly hover near the god. The Seelie took up servitude for the god, and in return, she gained the name Meng Zhiyue, Meng being her connection to her visions and dreams of foresight, and Zhiyue following her affinity to the moon and lunar plains.Zhiyue was then recognized by the humans as an adeptus, gaining her the title of moon bringer, as she often performed her rituals of looking into the future underneath the full moon. She acted as a Seer of the Divine, offering the people of Liyue answers about their futures, though in minimal increments. Most of her visions were blurry, almost like she had lost the knowledge of how to clear her thoughts.As a priestess and adeptus, Zhiyue wasn't as well-known as those like cloud retainer, the Yakshas, or the Gods such as her mistress, Guizhong, or Morax. However, her simple life of being a seer, conducting her occasional rituals and divinations made her happy. Zhiyue enjoyed servicing the people of Liyue, though her temper sometimes got the best of her. She was able to cherish those she loved.

Heartbreak followed her like a curse. Amid the peace, all good things would come to an end at the start of the archon war. Zhiyue fought alongside the rest of the adepti, specifically defending Guili Plains, where her mistress resided. Yet, unbeknownst to her, the tragedy of her past would come to pass yet again. In that battle, Guizhong had met her demise. The loss of the god of dust sent Zhiyue into a spiral. At the conclusion of the war, she disappeared.The priestess had descended into a hidden cave on the coast, entering a meditative state that would last over a millennia. In this state, Zhiyue would sort through her visions and memories, trying to find answers and ways to bring the god of dust back. Alas, there was no possibility to turn back time.In the time of her meditation, Zhiyue had become long forgotten, her name disappearing along with her. If she'd ever leave her trance, it would merely last only a little while and she would go back into her meditation.During this state, she would look into countless futures and would have many different visions of future events. Most of these events would never come to pass, but a particular calamity had passed her sight and it scared the Seelie enough to snap her out of her trance. Even though awake, Zhiyue once again returned to her meditation, searching her own memories in attempt to break past the blur of familiarity to prevent the said calamity she foresaw.

By the time Zhiyue had finally broken past the barrier of her memories, she had awoken too late. With regained consciousness, she made the decision to reemerge into Liyue. However, the seer was not prepared for the immense change that had come. The Liyue she once knew was long gone. She had also come to learn that the calamity she had foreseen had passed 500 years prior to her reemergence.Those she had known had also either disappeared or had moved on from their lives as adepti. Learning of Morax's death had also shocked Zhiyue. The adaption to life in a modern era was terrifying, so much so that the priestess fled back to her cave.For thirty days and nights, Zhiyue was unable to channel her foresight and meditation. Too agitated and confused, the Seelie gave into despair. Everything she had ever known was gone. She knew it was her fault for giving into the trance and ignoring life in her trance. Yet she kept trying to perceive what good came from such loneliness and isolation.After much time thinking and calculating her situation, she returned to a profound conviction she had held previously in her life. Yes, her mistress was gone. All those she had cherished in her life before were either gone or silent. But Liyue still existed. Her contract with the people to bring them answers and clarity from her foresight was still alive.She was alive and able to do her work. Zhiyue knew she would mourn the loss of her previous lives, but she found a beauty in the way time continuously flowed like a stream of rippling water. The following morning, Meng Zhiyue emerged from the cave and paraded the streets of Liyue Harbor, offering insight to those who wished for it.It wasn't till she conducted her first ritual after nearly three thousand years among the full moon with a small audience in Guili Plains, that she felt her wish grow. How she wanted to provide protection and answers for the people of Liyue. She bowed her head, reaching into a trance, eyes closing and arms outstretched. A faint weight fell into her cupped hands, and when she opened her eyes, a hydro vision gleamed in the moonlight.

Each item and ingredient was hand-picked and carefully placed by zhiyue using her clairvoyance. the dough was carefully shaped, the shrimp freshly caught and diced up, while two specially picked glaze lilies were used as a garnish. Tofu cubes, noodles, mushrooms with star shapes cut into them, and spring onions were added for taste. Each bite leaves a heavenly taste in your mouth, and you could swear you're seeing the stars you close your eyes.
